Responsibilities:
- Preparing statutory accounts for UK companies.
- Liaison with reporting team and local auditors for European company audits.
- Preparation of UK VAT returns for two VAT groups and liaising with European accountants to provide information for local VAT returns.
- Preparation of government statistical reporting for the UK and Ireland.
- Working with reporting teams to understand differences between US and Local GAAP.
- Liaising with tax team to ensure Statutory Accounts can be efficiently processed for Corporation tax.
- Supporting internal, SOX, and external audits.
- Maintaining strong internal controls in areas handled.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant or working towards ACA or ACCA qualification.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting and reporting.
- Experience in an international company desirable.
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and development skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines effectively, prioritize work tasks, and handle a dynamic work environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and draw insightful conclusions.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- A team player with integrity and a sound work ethic.
- Strong MS Excel skills and exposure to an ERP system.
- Strong process-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
Work Environment:
This role is based out of our Restaurant Support Centre (RSC) in Woking (around 25 minutes by train from London Waterloo) and a minimum of 1 day per week in the RSC is required, plus occasional other days for team or market meetings.
