Bennett and Game Recruitment has the pleasure of representing a close-knit Accountancy Practice located in South West London, who are seeking an Accounts and Tax Senior to join their expanding accounts team on a full time, permanent basis. The role of the Accounts Senior will be to run a portfolio of accountancy and tax clients.
They are offering a competitive salary of up to £55,000, 22 days holiday + bank holidays, and a range of progression and development opportunities. This role is well suited to a qualified accountant, looking to progress their career further. With the opportunity to manage a portfolio of varied clients, across accounts, corporate tax, and personal tax. The role also provides the opportunity to gain some management experience, whilst overseeing and supervising a team of 5 trainees when required.

Job Overview:- Running a portfolio of accountancy and tax clients.
- The practice has circa 500 personal tax clients, and 250 corporate tax clients.
- Preparation of personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients.
- Preparation of financial statements in accordance with FRS105 and FRS102.
- Preparation, review & submission of corporation tax returns.
- Advising individuals and companies of their tax liabilities.
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Assisting with HMRC enquiries into personal and corporate tax returns.
- Identifying tax-planning opportunities within individual and corporate client portfolios.
- Supervising staff, some of which will be qualified and they will be responsible for running a portfolio.
- 4+ years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Good knowledge of corporation tax and personal tax.
- Have a good understanding of all different types of tax.
- Proficient in Sage, Xero and Quickbooks.
- ACCA or ACA qualified.
- Live locally to Barnes, within a 40 minute commute.
- Must have experience within a client facing position.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and be well spoken.
- Offering a competitive salary in the region of £45,000-£55,000.
- 9am-5:30pm Mon-Fri.
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, and paid Christmas shutdown.
