The Opportunity
Join Holcim as a Quarry Operative at our Pode Hole Quarry in Peterborough, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mobile and fixed plant equipment. This position involves operating heavy machinery, maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and contributing to the smooth running of quarry operations. If you enjoy working in a dynamic and safety-focused environment, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in the quarrying industry. You will start in the bagging shed and potentially progress. The work schedule is Mon to Fri 6:30AM till 5PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations to ensure the site runs smoothly.
- Support the installation and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise operational efficiency.
- Contribute to maintaining a high standard of health and safety compliance.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets.
- Perform quality checks and maintain accurate records of operational activities.
- Operate mobile plant machinery and fixed plant.
