SMR Resourcing & Scheduling Specialist

Are you a creative problem solver? Do you excel in a fast paced environment? RAC has an exciting opportunity for a Resourcing & Scheduling Specialist to join our Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) department based at our iconic Bescot office in Walsall.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 08:00-18:00 and 1 in 4 Saturdays (with a rest day in the week). As a Resourcing & Scheduling Specialist you will own all the allocated resource across both contact centre colleagues and Mobile Mechanics. You will develop and maintain key relationships with front line colleagues and management to deliver outstanding service. You will ensure all resource is at appropriate levels and in line with provided forecasts, while optimising Mobile Mechanics’ diaries to hit Jobs per Shift targets.
Responsibilities
- Build and issue annual rosters to frontline colleagues in line with forecast plans, rules and constraints.
- Resolve resource issues on a day-to-day basis in real time.
- Ensure FTE are scheduled to relevant levels against provided forecasts to hit planned Service Levels.
- Highlight issues or factors that could prevent achievement of KPIs.
- Maintain fair work/life balance while being constraint compliant.
- Manage annual leave, training, downtime and re-rostering as required.
- Manage new starters and leavers.
- Coordinate overtime requirements to achieve SL.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure clear communication of resourcing and achieve a nationally consistent approach.
- Ensure fairness in the treatment of front line colleagues and manage allocation of overtime hours.
- Interpret data and carry out QA checks to ensure scheduled work is achievable and prevent delays.
