We are seeking a Windows SME to join a project team focused on automating configuration management across an enterprise estate. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an engineering mindset and strong knowledge of security hardening principles aligned with CIS industry benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:- Work as part of an engineering team to develop and deploy automated configuration management scanning across Windows, Linux, AWS, and Azure environments.
- Review and approve new security controls and whitelist amendments from corporate-approved CIS baselines.
- Develop automation and integrations for CIS baselines within GitHub where required.
- Collaborate daily with the configuration management engineering team to drive the timely deployment of new baselines.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and CIS baselines.
- Strong system administration background in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment, including Windows Server, VMware ESXi, AWS, and Azure.
- Experience with configuration management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Ability to create technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Experience with Git and Jira.
- Ansible, Chef, or Chef Inspec.
- ServiceNow (SNOW) integration.
- Strong communication skills with a developer mindset.
- Ability to work independently on time-sensitive tasks.
- Exposure to vulnerability and patch management, incident triage and response, and SOC operations.
