Job Type: Fixed-term contract

Job Duration: 12 months, (extended to Project completion)

Qualification: Graduation (master's degree desirable) or equivalent, Preferably in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic engineering/Industrial disciplines

Experience: Minimum 2 years in OSAT/ Semiconductor Manufacturing processes.

Salary: Negotiable (depends on experience) - determined by candidate skills and experience

Assignment Description: This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in large-scale industrial construction and semiconductor facility requirements. The Project Manager will be leading a team of highly skilled engineers to support Client as Owner’s Engineer and take ownership of the construction of a large-scale semiconductor factory, including clean room facilities and typical functions of a state-of-the-art OSAT / semiconductor manufacturing. He will be responsible for ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality execution while managing multiple stakeholders, regulatory compliance, and cutting-edge technical requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with stakeholder objectives and project specifications. Oversee the entire construction process up to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Address unexpected challenges in supply chain, labor, or permitting delays.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Build and lead a multidisciplinary highly technical team. Coordinate with Design and Peer Review Team and provide leadership to the team of Manufacturing and Subject Matter Experts. Delegate tasks, set clear objectives, and provide guidance to ensure effective collaboration and productivity among team members. Identify and mitigate potential risks, implementing contingency plans as needed to ensure project success.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the SPOC, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations. Foster positive relationships with clients, Design Team, Peer Review Team, and other external parties involved in the project.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement quality control measures to uphold industry standards and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Proactively identify challenges, risks & issues, proposing viable solutions and making informed decisions to keep the project on track. Identify potential bottlenecks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and contractual agreements. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders as required.

Skillsets Required: The Project Manager needs to have best of Project Management and Technical skills. It would include, but not limited to:

  • In-depth understanding of OSAT/ Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, including wafer fabrication, cleanroom protocols, photolithography, etching, testing, and packaging.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific tools, equipment, and machinery used in OSAT.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom specifications, design principles, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems required for maintaining controlled environments.
  • Expertise in managing cleanroom protocols and ensuring adherence to strict cleanliness standards.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and innovations in semiconductor manufacturing/ OSAT, such as advanced materials, automation, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
  • Ability to integrate cutting-edge technologies for improved efficiency and production quality.
