We are currently looking for a Director of Alliance Management & Business Strategy to join a Global Leader and Pioneer in the Life Science sector. This role is remote based, reporting into the London office and focussing on Alliance Management supporting new partnerships in China.
As the Director of Alliance Management & Business Strategy, you will be responsible for supporting new partnerships, business development activities, and early research collaborations. This role reports into the Chief Business Officer based in the US and involves close collaboration with the Senior Director of Global Alliance Management in Switzerland. Due to the nature of this role it is essential that the incumbent is fluent in Chinese Mandarin.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- The role will be evenly split across Alliance Management and Business Development activities.
- You will manage ongoing business relationships with assigned R&D and Commercial Alliance Partners, as well as helping to identify potential partners (large pharma and large biotech) for licensing and/or collaborative development.
- Participate in joint governance meetings, track and communicate contract milestones, and obtain collaborator feedback to maintain effective collaborations.
- Assist in identifying potential partners for licensing and collaborative development, develop competitive landscape assessments, and lead specific partnering initiatives.
- Assist in developing business cases, negotiating licensing and partnering agreements, and providing relevant deal support.
- Relevant degree qualification in Business, Legal, Finance, or Life Sciences discipline.
- Fluency in Chinese / Mandarin is essential.
- Extensive industry experience in the pharma/biopharmaceutical sector, with proven experience in Alliance Management and/or Business Development.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with early research, drug discovery, regulatory affairs, and business development.
