We are currently recruiting for a local manufacturing business based in Sheffield who have doubled in size over the last few years. Our client is looking to expand their team with the addition of a CAD Engineer. Ideally, they are looking for candidates who have experience using AutoCAD.

Main duties/responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in design for medium to heavy sectors with a focus on laser profiled or fabrication parts.
  • Experience in 2D and 3D AutoCAD
  • Experience in the preparation of technical documentation, including design reports, manuals, and bills of materials (BOMs), method statements and risk assessments.
  • Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve product performance and reliability.

You will have:

  • Ideally apprentice trained and/or have a HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar.
  • Ideally at least 5 years or more experience as a Design Engineer.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
