We are seeking an experienced and innovative Head of Engineering to lead the engineering function of our renewable energy projects in Central and Western Europe. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee the technical execution of large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This role is critical in driving the company's mission to deliver sustainable energy solutions across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead the technical strategy and execution for all renewable energy EPC projects, ensuring alignment with company goals. Oversee the design, engineering, and technical specifications for solar, wind, and energy storage projects. Ensure projects meet all technical, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Project Oversight: Supervise from a technical perspective the overall lifecycle of projects from conceptual design through to construction and commissioning. Oversee the coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams, ensuring seamless execution. Ensure technical milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Engineering Excellence: Direct the engineering team, ensuring optimized designs for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Review and approve all technical documentation, including designs, specifications, and engineering reports. Drive innovation and the adoption of cutting-edge renewable energy technologies and best practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and technical alignment on project requirements. Provide technical expertise and guidance during client meetings, site visits, and contract negotiations.
- Risk and Quality Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Implement quality control processes to ensure high standards of project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil); Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in engineering or project management roles, preferably within the renewable energy or EPC industry.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or energy storage) from concept to commissioning.
- Strong understanding of EPC processes and project lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations (IEC, IEEE, etc.).
- Experience with renewable energy technologies, grid interconnection, and energy storage systems.
- Familiarity with engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst).
- Experience working with international clients and vendors.
- Strong command of English.
