Do you have experience in leading a building surveying team or looking to advance your career in this area? We are looking for a Building Surveying Partner to drive the growth of the firm’s Building & Consultancy team in Birmingham. You will provide effective leadership and management of both personnel and financial resources, ensuring the achievement and surpassing of budget targets. You will be driven to enhance Carter Jonas’ presence and reputation within the market, while fostering communication of all services to clients and our people to maximize cross-selling opportunities and expand market share. As we start to launch our Vision 2030, now is the time to join our growing Building Surveying team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can establish themselves and make a significant contribution to developing this business.

Main tasks:- Grow and develop Carter Jonas’s Building Consultancy business from our Birmingham Office;
- Integrate with the Commercial Division across the firm to offer a national service to clients;
- Offer a market leading Building Consultancy service to existing and new clients;
- Work closely with the Commercial team in identifying new opportunities and enhance the brand/profile;
- Develop a network of clients from the public and private sectors;
- Support and actively mentor members of the Building Consultancy team in Birmingham and offer wider support to the profit centre.
You will be RICS/MRICS qualified within Building Surveying (or similar) and will have gained significant post qualification (or equivalent) experience, preferably in a consultancy environment. You will have the ability to lead and motivate the team, as well as drive business initiatives forward. You will be able to identify and secure new opportunities as well as enhance existing client relationships. You must be able to support all members of the team, providing coaching and supervision, where required. Finally, it is key that you have a full driving licence, as travel will be expected in this role.
