Reports to Project Director
Role Purpose
Be an accountable, senior member of a project delivery team, delivering process engineering solutions within the Dairy, Food, Beverage and Plant Based industries. Perform role of process lead, with responsibility for the success of all projects and work packages that are assigned to you. Lead project team and coordinate cross functionally between all internal disciplines, contractors and suppliers that are involved in your projects and hold a responsibility for their performance.
Accountabilities
- Process lead for assigned projects and work packages.
- Interpret customer requirements and flow to design, hardware selection and outsourced work packages.
- Lead process design to ensure P & I drawings, Component Schedules and Design Risk Assessment are accurate and updated.
- Coordinate and provide technical input to project delivery team.
- Coordinate sub-contractor work packages.
- Host regular core team meetings and customer project reviews.
- Assist project manager with planning and execution of assigned projects in accordance with key dates, milestones, budget and Company procedures.
- Assist project manager implementation and maintaining project management tools, including action logs, request for information logs, risk registers, etc.
- Generate project documentation including statements of work, specifications, commissioning documentation, completion certificates, O&M manuals as defined by Company procedures.
- Plan installation activity and coordination of the site delivery team.
- Lead commissioning, start up and performance test activities, ensuring a seamless handover to customers.
- Provide customer-facing technical support throughout project lifecycle.
- Mentor and provide guidance and support to the junior members of the project delivery team as and when required.
- Support generation and maintenance of engineering standards to drive a consistent technical approach to projects.
- Drive quality and continuous improvement, effectively using non-conformance and project wash up procedures.
- Be responsible for your own health and safety as well as those around you.

- Formal qualification in an engineering discipline
- Proven experience delivering projects in the FMCG industry
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good decision making and leadership skills
- Good planning, administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to manage several tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage budgets and resources and understand procurement procedures
- Be hard working and conscientious
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated and work as part of a team without constant supervision
- Ability to mentor, lead and motivate others
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced MS Office skills, including use of MS Project
- Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation

- Prepared to be trained for new skills and gain extensive project delivery experience and expertise
- Prepared to stay away when required
Desirable:
- Degree level in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in Engineering or Maintenance Management
- Project management skills
- Management/leadership qualification
- Proficient in the use of CAD
- Experience in creating P & I drawings and 3D modelling
- Managing health and safety qualifications IOSH/NEBOSH
- Knowledge of current and applicable regulations and directives, CDM, PED, etc.
- Previous experience of working within food, drink and allied sectors
