Overview
Capgemini works with some of the world’s largest brands on some of the most interesting and complex IT projects. The Salesforce Delivery Unit is one of the fastest growing areas within Capgemini UK and focuses on helping clients achieve business value through Salesforce.com, the world’s number one cloud based CRM solution.
Your role
As a Salesforce Technical Consultant, you’ll work across a wide spectrum of industry sectors, from Consumer Products and Utilities to Automotive and Telecommunications. You’ll help clients transform their business using the Salesforce.com platform, supported by a large ecosystem of Salesforce apps. You may start by understanding client requirements, move to building a proof of concept with a development team, and then develop the final solution used by thousands of end users.
The work
- Collaborate closely with Salesforce Functional Consultants to design and build tailored client solutions.
- Serve as a Salesforce SME within the DCX practice, contributing to capability building—leveraging AI-driven tools like Agentforce to support solution design, accelerate delivery, and enhance team productivity.
- Develop on the Salesforce platform using a mix of declarative and programmatic tools, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and JavaScript.
- Integrate AppExchange solutions to extend functionality — e.g. e-signatures.
- Support agile delivery teams and contribute to DevOps best practices (e.g. Copado, Flosum, Gearset, AzureDevOps).
- Work directly with clients, building your consulting skills in communication, design thinking, and stakeholder engagement.
Your Skill And Experience
Working closely with clients, you’ll analyse exactly what they need, then design and develop the right solution to exceed their expectations using your technical Salesforce configuration and coding. You’ll enjoy Salesforce and CRM work and your curiosity will help you tackle complex challenges. The following qualifications and experiences are typical for the role:
- Salesforce technical experience covering one or more of the main clouds: Sales, Service or Commerce
- Experience with one or more of LWC, Vlocity or Field Service Lightning
- Experience working on large, complex end-user or client projects involving several hundred Salesforce end users
- Hold certifications in Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I & II, JavaScript Developer I, and at least one Consultant-level credential, with a strong commitment to continuous learning through additional certifications or Trailhead Superbadges in progress
- Experience of agile project delivery and working as part of a team of Salesforce developers
- Proven ability to translate highly conceptual business needs and/or user stories into a working solution
- Proven ability to communicate complex ideas, issues, concepts and solutions to clients and executive stakeholders
- Experience working with 3rd party delivery partners and AppExchange vendors is a plus (e.g. Mulesoft, Copado)
Potential is just as important to us as having the required skills. If you have the right mindset, we might provide bespoke training. If you’re passionate about the role but unsure you have all the skills, please apply and we’ll see how we can support you.
