As part of the management team, you will own proposal and estimating activities for QH FLUID INTELLIGENCE at a global level in line with our corporate sales strategy, as well as managing the spare parts business activities and team. Working closely with the global sales and engineering colleagues, this role is key to helping our customers build a better future together. QH FLUID INTELLIGENCE offers a cutting-edge digital and automated solution that delivers real-time monitoring and control of fluid performance and costs, benefiting our customers by improving production efficiency and sustainability. This technology reduces waste, minimises risks, and lowers the total cost of ownership.

Tasks

  • Management and ownership of primary delivery functions and key processes within Equipment Sales, Spares and Services.
  • Work with the Global QH sales and QHE Engineering teams to produce comprehensive estimates and technical proposal documents in line with customer requirements and applicable regulations for bespoke capital equipment and service sales.
  • Support any other business activity as required.
  • Provide active input to the overall company strategy, direction and operational goals, in-line with Quaker Houghton’s global strategy.
  • Manage the intercompany catalogue and pricing tool.
  • Manage costing records, order entry and sales administration systems.
  • Ensure pricing and contractual terms follow profitability and cash flow goals, liaising with suppliers, sales team or direct customer contact as required.
  • Manage the spares and services team to deliver an efficient aftermarket support operation.
  • Assist in the development of standardised methods, tools, and documentation manuals, to improve cost estimation and proposal production.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in a similar role where leading the proposal and estimation process is key for success, ideally within the engineering, special purpose bespoke machinery or a similar environment.
  • Any chemical process knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders within a global and corporate matrix structure.
  • Understanding technical client specifications is a must including being familiar with design software and drawing interpretation.
