If so, we want you to join our team as a Technical Security Design Consultant!
As a key member of our team, you will work directly with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, innovative security solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to shape and influence the design and implementation of complex security systems across a wide range of projects, supporting global clients in various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of security design projects, under the oversight of the Security Design Manager.
- Lead the creation of detailed design documents, including Scope of Work (SoW) and associated drawings (Spots and Dots), to ensure project clarity and execution.
- Develop comprehensive security specifications and programming matrices, tailored to meet client needs and project requirements.
- Conduct site surveys and reviews to capture requirements and inform design decisions.
- Work closely with Security Project Managers and Design Managers on strategic projects, ensuring smooth coordination and high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure robust document control processes for all design materials, ensuring consistency, compliance, and timely updates.
- Provide detailed project tracking reports to monitor design delivery metrics and maintain visibility of project progress.
- Take ownership of or provide support on security consultancy services, ensuring delivery aligns with client requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
- Facilitate client meetings and workshops, presenting technical and strategic information in clear, concise reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Apply risk management methodologies to assess and mitigate security risks across projects.
- Maintain a strong client focus, managing expectations and providing regular updates to senior project owners.
- Demonstrate a self-starting attitude and the ability to work independently, while collaborating effectively with a diverse team.
- Travel as required to project sites, ensuring accurate assessments and support for project execution.
- Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in designing IP video and access-controlled enterprise security systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam, and an understanding of BIM is essential. Strong electrical aptitude and ability to read schematics and drawings.
- Security Expertise: Experience in physical security design, including HVM (Hostile Vehicle Mitigation) measures, site hardening, and integration with systems like Lenel, Genetec, AMAG, and Milestone.
- Education: A 3rd level education in electronics or a related field is highly desirable.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with EN and BS standards for security design and installations.
- Software Skills: Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
- Language Skills: Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Work Ethic: Strong focus on compliance, high standards of quality delivery, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Sector Expertise: Experience working in the Data Centre vertical or a similar high-security environment is a plus.
- Internal and External Relationships: Collaborate with internal business stakeholders, including senior leadership and the sales team, to ensure successful project delivery. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, attending and contributing to external meetings to provide expert guidance and ensure client satisfaction.
