Due to business demand, a young, fast-growth business in the Real Estate field is looking for an exceptional HR Manager to join their organisation in a newly created role. Their rapid growth is driven by an unwavering commitment to excellence in all areas, whilst fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training and development, and benefits administration. This role will ensure the business attracts, retains, and develops top talent while fostering a positive work environment and maintaining compliance with employment law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Onboarding
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job posting, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
    • Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring smooth integration of new hires and TUPE transfers.
    • Work with hiring managers to ensure recruitment aligns with workforce planning needs.
  • Employee Relations
    • Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
    • Mediate conflicts and support a positive, inclusive work culture.
    • Implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
    • Escalate serious disciplinary or grievance matters to the HR Director.
  • Performance Management
    • Implement performance evaluation systems, including goal-setting and periodic reviews.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
    • Support managers in handling performance improvement plans (PIPs).
    • Escalate high-risk performance issues to the HR Director as needed.
  • Training and Development
    • Assess training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
    • Organise workshops, seminars, and skills training sessions.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of training and adjust as necessary.
  • Compliance and Policies
    • Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
    • Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbooks.
    • Conduct HR audits to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Compensation and Benefits
    • Support the administration of employee benefits.
    • Provide insights into competitive benefits packages and assist with recommendations to the HR Director.
  • HR Projects
    • Lead and execute HR operational projects (e.g., wellbeing initiatives, engagement surveys, policy updates).
    • Assist the HR Director in strategic HR projects and restructuring initiatives.
    • Manage day-to-day transactional HR tasks, including payroll coordination and TUPE processes.
  • Personal Accountability
    • Execute the role with integrity and respect for others.
    • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in dealings with individuals and the information held about those individuals.
    • Use initiative to resolve issues and identify solutions.

Please note that due to the nature of the business, there may be a number of ad-hoc tasks which occur throughout the year – the JD is not exhaustive. The nature of the business means that you may be required to work outside of your hours (move in weekends, summer etc). Travel may be required to company sites across the UK when necessary.

Skills & Experience
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proven experience (5+ years) in HR Management role including payroll management.
    • Professional CIPD qualification.
  • Key Skills:
    • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Leadership and decision-making capabilities.
    • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
