The BAPM team is responsible for requirements documentation, project delivery, program management, domain knowledge and collaboration with all teams involved in the software development lifecycle. The Trading Services team is part of Equities Technology and is responsible for the implementation of critical real-time, pre-trade risk compliance and inventory management functions across all asset classes on the entire trading platform, including latency critical trading. Additionally, they manage and distribute intraday and historical trading data to trading and booking systems, and portfolio managers for pre and post-trade analysis. This year the platform is expected to handle 35 billion order/execution messages.
As well as implementing the Trading Services project pipeline, this role requires a hands-on approach to data in the context of business analysis and producing business requirements. The successful candidate will be comfortable analyzing and interpreting large volumes of trading data to ensure requirements and solutions are comprehensive.
Principal Responsibilities- Drive end-to-end delivery of Equities Technology-sponsored and business-driven projects, partnering with all relevant functions including Risk, Compliance, Execution Services, Treasury, Operations and Technology.
- Document business requirements in Confluence, technical requirements in JIRA, and/or project level integration analysis on a project-by-project basis.
- Ability to interface with stakeholders across the organization at multiple levels of seniority.
- Developing and enforcing project governance for various initiatives and ensuring consistent communication with stakeholders.
- Participation in projects cutting across all applications in execution services, research, post-trade, position management, and reference and historical data.
- Assist development teams on implementation of their strategic architecture.
- Support and guide client systems and portfolio managers in their consumption of Trading Services data, demonstrating a high degree of understanding in it and the trading environment that produces it.
- Minimum of 10 yearsβ experience in business analysis and hands-on delivery across the SDLC of major change projects at an investment bank, software vendor, exchange or ATS, or buy-side firm.
- Subject matter expertise in liquid markets trading and products, including equities, listed derivatives, and fixed income.
- Able to perform in-depth analysis of large volumes of data to extract and present the information within.
- Experience of SQL and other database tools. Additional data analysis skills an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with development methodologies including waterfall or agile.
- Experience simultaneously coordinating multiple projects across separate teams and functional areas.
- Ability to communicate at detailed levels to development teams and users, and executive updates to senior stakeholders.
