The History programme at Bromley Schools' Collegiate provides you with the tools to teach secondary students about historical events, themes, and the development of societies. You will focus on developing students' skills in source analysis, historical enquiry, and critical thinking. This course includes two placements, allowing you to apply your learning in contrasting school environments.

Mentoring and Support:

Entry Requirements:
- Qualifications: A good degree (minimum 2:2) in History or a closely related subject. At least 50% of your undergraduate degree should be in History, or a Grade B in A-Level History.
- GCSEs: English and Maths (minimum grade C/4). Free equivalency tests are available for candidates who do not meet these qualifications.
Personal Qualities: A passion for history and the ability to inspire students to think critically about the past and its impact on the present.
Other Requirements:
No prior classroom experience required, but any work with young people is beneficial. Criminal record checks, health screening, and references will be required upon a successful offer.
