We are looking for an experienced and talented Building Services Manager to manage the building services delivery projects in progress within the Northern Home Counties Business.

About the role:
- Establish, maintain, and manage effective relationships with Designers and consultants through the design process, working with the design manager to ensure the project is correctly scoped, managed, and priced.
- Provide a professional, comprehensive, and sustainable design service for the customer and key partners and suppliers in delivery stages.
- Manage and coordinate safely the MEP integration in the build.
- Ensure completion and compliance of departmental procedures during delivery stages.
- Involvement with ‘design strategy’ and approach.
- Review and professionally provide commentary to the expected technical excellence on design information, reports, calculations, and drawings.
- Ensure adherence to the design brief/scope of service and develop a comprehensive scope of service for key stages of the project.
- Be involved in all design reviews and coordination meetings.
- Ensure fully coordinated design strategy is in place and work closely with discipline lead designers to deliver coordinated design solutions.
- Monitor progress against programme, and report to the project team lead.
- Establish the need for and input into general design reviews.
- Ensure that design is developed in line with commercial and construction requirements and the cost plan budget allowances.
- Ensure that the design fully accords with the defined specifications as detailed within the work package control document or subcontract documents as appropriate.
- Coordinate the activities of the statutory bodies (for example local authority building control) in line with programme critical dates.
- Ensure the design process recognises compliancy issues, current legislation, standards, and codes of practice, advising change where applicable.
- Coordinate change control system and ensure changes are accounted for, authorised, and implemented, as necessary, with the project manager and customer.
- Assist Commercial team in reviewing Changes.
Ideally you will have:
- A full understanding of detailed M&E procedures and will have a good level of technical and professional expertise.
- Significant experience in the main contracting market with experience of working on Healthcare, Education, Leisure, New Build, and Refurbishment schemes between £10 million - £90 million.
- Good understanding of Design and Design process.
- Good understanding of Quality management and Commissioning.
