We are currently looking for an Associate Director (Business Development & Partnerships) to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Associate Director of Business Development & Partnerships, you will be responsible for driving strategic collaborations and partnerships that are crucial to the company's growth.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying, establishing, negotiating, and maintaining partnerships while understanding the framework of existing collaborations.
  • Leading agreement negotiations ranging from drug discovery and development alliances to agreements with third parties that support research and development activities.
  • Managing alliances post-deal signing to ensure maximum benefit to the company.
  • Sourcing new external opportunities and leading mixed scientific and corporate development teams throughout the deal process, including technical and commercial due diligence.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant degree in science or business related to pharmaceutical R&D, business development, or technology transfer.
  • Proven industry experience in business development within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
  • A working knowledge and practical experience with IP licensing, drafting, and negotiating various agreement types.
