The Computing programme at Bromley Schools' Collegiate is designed to prepare you for teaching Computing in secondary schools. This course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, ensuring that you develop the skills needed to inspire students and help them understand the rapidly evolving world of technology. The programme includes two placements in contrasting schools, allowing you to apply your learning in real teaching environments and progressively take on more responsibility for planning and delivering lessons.
Key Focus Areas:

Bursaries & Scholarships:
Eligible applicants can receive a £29,000 bursary for Computing. In addition, DfE scholarships offering £31,000 are available for high-calibre applicants. Scholarships come with added benefits such as subject specialist events, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants must have a degree (minimum 2:2) in Computing or a closely related subject. You will also need GCSEs in English and Maths (C/4 or above). While prior classroom experience is not required, any experience working with young people is beneficial.
Fees:
QTS only: £8,000
QTS with PGCE: £9,200 (These fees are fixed for September 2025)
