A leading global asset manager is seeking to recruit a Senior Product Research & Development Specialist to join their growing alternatives team focusing on democratising private assets across global markets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly reputable firm in an exciting phase of expansion into new distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research into the competitor landscape to benchmark existing funds and originate ideas for new launches, RE pricing, regulatory changes, and future growth alignment.
- Liaise with multiple internal stakeholders to design, launch, close & merge new and existing funds (Legal, Tax, Compliance, Risk etc.) and establish a client product literature and marketing strategy (Sales, Marketing, Client Services).
- Assist to define the structuring of private and registered products.
- Manage product pipeline content and liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure this is communicated efficiently across teams.
- Act as the SME on the firm’s alternatives platform, taking questions from stakeholders and constantly monitoring new trends and potential offerings.
Candidate Profile:
- 6 – 10 years’ minimum professional experience with at least 4 years’ experience in a product development/strategy function in an asset manager/alternatives asset manager/investment bank/fintech.
- Understanding of closed-ended, open-end and evergreen structures.
- Knowledge of the institutional, retail and insurance market, with a clear understanding of trends and investor needs.
- Strong knowledge of the Private Credit market highly desirable.
- Experience with ELTIFs & LTAFs highly desirable.
- CFA/CAIA highly desirable.
