Our insurance department, based at our head office in Heage, is seeking a permanent, full time Trainee Insurance/Admin Assistant to provide support to the department. The ideal applicant will be looking to start a career within an insurance/legal environment, no previous experience is required as full training will be given.
Key responsibilities:
- After successful completion of training or depending on experience, you will manage your own personal injury and property damage claims.
- Assist the Insurance Manager in dealing with construction defect claims.
- Dealing with telephone and email queries both internal and external.
- Liaising with Insurance Brokers/Insurers/Loss Adjusters/Solicitors on a daily basis.
- Producing board reports across the group for monthly board meetings.
- Attending Site Surveys with insurers throughout the U.K.
- Assisting the Department with renewal of all insurance policies across the group.
- Assisting the Department in placing both client and specific project insurance policies across the group, as and when required.
- Arranging payments to Insurance Brokers/Insurers/Solicitors.
Skills, knowledge and experience we are seeking in candidates:
- An interest in developing a career providing support in an insurance/legal environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels.
- Friendly and approachable with a professional telephone manner.
- GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Computer literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Confidence to work autonomously, with a willingness to develop skills and knowledge.
- Happy to work in a team and help others, if and when necessary.
Salary & Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary, 25 days' holiday per annum and membership of our competitive group personal pension scheme. This is a full time permanent position, working 8.30am - 5.00pm, Monday - Friday.
