Our mission is to continue refining, scaling, and evolving our ability to enable others to deliver genomic healthcare and conduct genomic research. We are accelerating our impact and working with patients, doctors, scientists, government and industry to improve genomic testing, and help researchers access the health data and technology they need to make new medical discoveries and create more effective, targeted medicines for everybody.

The Strategic Resourcing Manager will work closely with the Head of Staffing in aligning talented individuals with organisational needs, collaborating closely with leaders to identify our strategic staffing requirements and deploying our people in the most effective way. Integral to workforce planning, this role contributes significantly to Genomics England's success by implementing strategic staffing plans that balance programme effectiveness and people's individual growth goals.

Manage day-to-day Workforce Planning activities, ensuring data accuracy. Act as the central point for all resource requests, running staffing prioritisation calls and managing capacity planning. Support workforce planning activities and maintain tools like Semarchy and Ingentis. Oversee access certifications for third-party contractors and review JIRA procurement tickets. Gather and provide management information for staffing decisions. Collaborate with the Head of Staffing on various strategic initiatives.

While we recognise the value of relevant qualifications or certifications, we are primarily interested in your real-world experience. We are looking for demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  • Experience acting as a central point for resource requests, managing capacity planning and maintaining workforce planning systems.
  • Confident in engaging with and presenting to stakeholders at all levels up to the Executive Leadership Team, upholding governance, and making recommendations.
