The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are looking for an EDI coordinator to join our established team of EDI professionals led by the Director of EDI. This is a pivotal time for LSHTM as the EDI Office implements a new EDI Strategy and Action Plan that is fit for purpose and supports the future of the organisation. The overall purpose of the job is to provide co-ordination support for School level EDI activities including EDI communications, supporting staff and student networks and event co-ordination as well as EDI data analysis. The post holder will work under the supervision of the EDI Programme Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Raising awareness of EDI activities.
- Sharing of practice across LSHTM.
- Providing administrative and coordination support for implementation of EDI interventions.
- Writing and managing content for intranet, EDI newsletters, and other communications in support of related initiatives or activities.
You should have experience of administrative work, including taking meeting notes, co-ordinating diaries and organising meetings. Knowledge and experience of working on EDI initiatives is a must. Good communication skills and organisational skills are essential.
The post is full-time, 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent. The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 4 in the range £34,261 - £38,448 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this, there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
