We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Firmware Engineer to lead NPD innovative projects related to automation machinery technologies. Join a fast growing SME and be part of their R&D Centre of excellence, supporting a myriad of global group partners with the introduction of a range of smart technology devices.

We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to help drive the expansion of a design department and develop hardware and embedded software for a new and an expanding product range. The role will be in-charge of developing products, both on-site and remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing Firmware and embedded software for use within the organisation’s products lines.
  • Providing technical guidance to team members.
  • Collaborating with various engineering disciplines within the organisation.
  • Lead on Identifying areas of improvement and assist implementing new processes.

Requirements and Experience:
  • Must have a Degree or similar qualification in Electronics Engineering or comparable subject.
  • Sustained experience in embedded firmware design, development, and testing (Essential).
  • Good experience of EMC design and test experience.
  • Good exposure in design validation process – FMEA, DFM.
  • Experience in the creation of supporting design documentation, development reports, BoM, build packs.
  • Experience of firmware unit, integration, and system testing.

Please note that all applicants for the post will be required to already have full right to work status for the UK.
