The predicted salary is between 100000 - 140000 £ per year.

I am partnering with a fantastic long term key client in the Financial Services sector offering a Contract position for a Financial Services focussed Business Analyst on their Retail Application Management Team. You'll work principally on implementing system capabilities that facilitate the finance application process aiding a process to make applying for finance should be effortless for my client's customers.

Day rate will range from £470-490 per day inside IR35 (hybrid, 2 days in the UK Head Office near Basingstoke) and the Contract will be due for extension at the end of 2025.

Key responsibilities:
  • Undertake holistic analysis of business situations, to define problem statement and high level requirements of the project demand.
  • Ensure all business requirements have been aligned and approved with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support evaluation of solution options to inform business case production.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of appropriate project documentation.
  • Work with Domains Owners, Product Owners, Project Leads and Subject Matter Experts to capture and document high level and detailed level business requirements, including: as-is processes and to-be processes; functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Undertake complex research and analysis to develop requirements in the necessary format (e.g. User Stories / Business Proposals and System Proposals).
  • Determine and use best practices to define effective solutions to meet business requirements and solve complex business and IT problems and issues, including acting on the wider business implications of change to current and future systems.
  • Input into overall test strategy and planning, and support documentation of User Acceptance Test Cases.
  • Support systems testing activities and multi-business stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing, including supporting defect management.
  • Identify and assist in delivery of opportunities for test automation.
  • Support other business implementation work on the project and lead implementation activities to ensure the project is successfully completed, e.g. procedures documentation and training.
  • Ensure that planned deliverables meet the expectation of the end user and customer.
  • Ensure that necessary training, communications and handover activities are completed so that deliverables are transitioned into 'business as usual' operations.
  • Support/Run Agile events as necessary including Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospective.
  • Act as a proxy for when Product Owner is not available.
Experience required:
  • Recent and comprehensive experience as a Business Analyst within Banking, Financial Services, Automotive or Insurance.
  • Working in an Agile environment with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience working in multiple stakeholder environments.
  • Full lifecycle project handling.
  • Hands on UAT testing.
  • Experience of requirement gathering and workshops.
