What you'll be doing

This role sits within our Managed Security Service, meaning you'll be supporting the wider teams to deliver and enhance the existing Cyber Threat Intelligence capability which includes aspects of planning, directing, collecting, processing, analysing, and disseminating intelligence to our clients at tactical, operational, and strategic levels. You will ensure you maintain up to date knowledge on the landscape in general, individual threats and associated TTP's. You should be familiar with exploiting intelligence and integrating intelligence with SOC and incident response processes.

What we're looking for

Ideally, you will also be able to utilise technology, such as threat intelligence platforms, SIEMs, Query/Visualisation engines and other statistical tools that aid reporting. You will be able to identify and track campaigns relevant to clients and be familiar with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK. You'll have further experience of:

  • Background in technology either academic or through work
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a Cyber Security discipline
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cyber Kill Chains, MITRE ATT&CK and/or Diamond Threat Model
  • Comfortable using OSINT methodologies and tooling
  • Ability to translate complex data or findings into simple terms
  • Familiarity with tracking threat actors to include APTs and cybercrime groups
  • Experience conducting research and analysis using SIEM, IR or EDR tools
  • Experience using Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIP) within a CTI or SOC role
  • Experience in cyber threat intelligence collection, analysis, production, or consumption
  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash programming
  • Experience with utilising well known raw threat data sets and their application programming interfaces (APIs) e.g. Shodan
  • Experience working with malware including static, and dynamic analysis of binaries, maldocs and other formats

Other nice to haves would include experience of:

  • Understanding or exposure to digital forensics or incident response disciplines
  • Familiarity with Digital Shadows, Recorded Future and MiSP
  • Understanding or exposure to Reverse engineering malware

Location

Bridewell operates a hybrid and flexible working policy, however you will be required to travel to different sites on occasion.
