We are currently looking for an experienced Civils Estimator to join a leading civil engineering contractor in Ebbsfleet. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and groundworks projects with a business known for its quality delivery and strong pipeline of work.
You will play a key role in pricing tenders, preparing detailed cost estimates, and contributing to winning new business.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for civil engineering projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
- Attend pre-tender and client meetings as required
- Support the bid team in tender submissions
- Identify risks and opportunities within the project scope
- Maintain accurate cost databases and tender records
- Proven experience as an estimator within civil engineering or groundworks
- Strong understanding of tendering processes and cost planning
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
