As an Associate Director, you are determined to activate change for great brands through a passion for data and consumer insights. You have grown into an independent account manager who steers and manages internal project teams for all types of projects, including complex quant/qual projects. You demonstrate great client relationship skills, business understanding, and consistently deliver actionable project outcomes. As a result, you grow our share of business with these clients. This position also allows you to actively contribute to the commercial success of your team through the success of your accounts and by unlocking new commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Responsible for the entire end to end project cycle (on all project types and complexities). Delegation of tasks to junior colleagues, ensuring they are briefed fully and supported to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Activity Design: Expert and point of contact when it comes to designing activities.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Able to give directions to junior consultants as they perform their analysis and create reports. Excel in finalizing conclusions and impactful recommendations that receive positive feedback from internal KPI’s and clients.
  • Solution Design: Comprehensive knowledge of our portfolio and how Solutions from different Business Lines can form the right programme to meet client needs.
  • Presenting: An accomplished presenter. Ability to oversee client presentations by junior consultants, passing on expertise. Moderate client workshops/brainstorms.
  • Account Management: Confident account relationship managers. Ability to build rapport with the people behind the 'client' role, building trusted relationships and who are advocates of the work. A master at applying research and consumer knowledge to the client’s challenges.
  • Growth Marketing & Industry Expertise: Able to have an expert view of the industry, so that the network has expanded to include industry/sector contacts (i.e., beyond just the social professional profile). Content sharing targets that hit (e.g., number of subscriptions). Create client case studies. Constantly educating the client on our story and how we can help them.
  • Commercial Management & Business Development: A confident pitcher, can have 'open', commercial conversations with clients (i.e., listen/reflect/respond). Able to design proposals for a range of Solutions (inc. complex), with limited direction needed from other seniors. Confident to price projects (with support from seniors). Take the lead in sales dates and actively seek referrals to new entries. Responsible for contribution management.
  • Additional responsibilities: Support colleagues on initiatives relating to specific expertise. Coach and mentor consultants. Identify areas of development and encourage individuals to seek out the relevant opportunities and training needed. Support a wider group in the team, playing a central role in sharing experiences/best practices.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Able to articulate ideas persuasively is crucial for securing funding and support.
  • Effective time management.
  • Critical thinking skills - strong ability to analyse data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions and make recommendations to client is fundamental.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, and in English.
  • Ability to connect research insights to broader organizational and strategic goals.
  • Flexibility in handling changing priorities and deadlines, ensuring smooth operations with the client.
  • Familiarity with data analysis software (SPSS).
  • Able to network across the business.
  • Able to take ownership as the main day to day contact point for the client on local and global clients.
  • Able to design any activity or solution, manage both simple and complex projects.

Additional Requirements:

  • 6 to 10 years of professional research experience.
  • Demonstrated success through impactful research projects.
  • A bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. psychology, social studies, policies, business, etc).
