About the role:
- Supervise classes/groups of pupils during break periods
- Ensure pupils remain on task with cover work set by absent teacher, to ensure continuity of learning.
- Managing a classroom, ensuring high standards of behaviour in line with the school's policy
- Support school events
- Opportunities for training and development internally and externally
A Secondary Teaching Assistant will:
- Have extensive prior experience within an education establishment as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant, unqualified teacher etc
- Possess good behaviour management skills and remain calm under pressure.
- Be confident with ICT skills, particularly Microsoft packages
