We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join us on a permanent basis. The reason for this role is real growth, as Ocado has recently secured a go-ahead for a Nottinghamshire distribution centre.
Operations Managers lead the business unit through the use of Key Performance Indicators by successfully operating and optimising Ocado’s platforms to deliver maximum client and customer value. They are key to the bottom line performance of the Spoke site and driving a positive employee and customer experience.
Operations Managers lead and motivate to drive and develop all aspects of business unit activities on site and on the road, living and breathing our 5 Pillars: Safety, People, Customer, Delivery, and Cost. They provide motivation and drive excellence in all that we do. It is the responsibility of the Operations Manager to effectively plan resources and all other associated costs in line with budgets and business objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Essential:- Strong customer service, numeracy and literacy skills, knowledge and experience of ER policies and procedures and people management
- Good analytical skills
- Building, fleet management, facilities management, budgets and target setting
- Current UK Driving Licence (or equivalent)
- IOSH managing safely (or equivalent)
- Proficient with MS Office suite (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) & Google suite
- Coaching and team development at management level, strong communication and motivational skills, group management skills, problem solving, commerciality, resilience, self-motivation, flexibility, proactivity, planning and organising, budgets and target setting
- Excellent time management skills along with the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks where needed
