Establish and strengthen the College’s approach to Value for Money (VfM) in all aspects of its delivery, working with others to ensure efficiency and robust budget management. Ensure effective VfM processes are in place to support all expenditure and capital projects, in line with Financial Regulations and external funding regulations.
Identify, build, and manage relationships through effective communication with all stakeholders, including external third parties (such as the College’s purchasing consortia), acting as the primary point of contact for the College procurement process.
Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function of procurement operates in line with the organisation’s objectives to add value and deliver cost savings. Actively support the College through all steps of the procurement and tendering process to ensure best VfM is achieved and all risks are identified and mitigations are in place.
Ensure a robust documentation and audit trail is in place for all procurement projects in compliance with the College financial regulations. The individual in this position will oversee creating, implementing, and promoting a strong framework for contract management, working with others to ensure this is comprehensive and up to date to facilitate forward planning and negotiations.
Work with all departments to maintain an up-to-date contracts register for the College that will identify upcoming contract renewals.
