The Purpose of the Role: BSI exists to have a positive impact on society, one of the ways we do that is through product certification. You can be part of leading that work as our Global Testing & Laboratories Director, leading the enablement of our clients to get products to market and comply with the latest requirements with comprehensive testing and certification.
The Successful Applicant will:
- have considerable experience in managing testing laboratories (labs), including maintenance and health & safety in lab environments.
- be an experienced project manager with a broad technical understanding of industry/products testing.
- have strong, motivational and pro-active people leadership skills & a proven track record of coaching & managing senior technical teams.
- be experienced in managing profit & loss ledgers.
- be a strategic thinker with a commercial perspective & improvement focussed approach.
- work with a full, clear digitisation agenda.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Lead & manage all testing, maintenance & calibration experts.
- Support teams to ensure compliant delivery & the meeting of regulatory & accreditation obligations.
- Provide strategic & tactical advice & support to the business unit (BU).
- Develop & deliver against robust resource plans.
- Drive innovation & the use of the latest technologies.
- Have a full, clear digitisation agenda.
- Oversee the development & continual improvement of the BU.
- Set, review & report on KPIs, manage P&L.
- Collaborate on new projects to build CAPEX/OPEX.
