We require a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team working as a key maintenance team member, you will carry out reactive, predictive and planned maintenance.

What you will be doing:

As a vital part of our depots, our maintenance team plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations through their expertise in both reactive and planned maintenance, preventing the business from coming to a standstill. You'll contribute to fostering a positive Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental culture while proactively working in a preventative environment to minimise breakdowns and failures. Your hands-on approach to machinery maintenance and repair will include implementing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to address recurring issues and shape medium- and long-term strategies. You'll also maintain optimal levels of critical spares for routine maintenance and share troubleshooting insights to drive continuous improvement across EMR. Collaboration is key as you'll liaise with contractors to ensure compliance with proper RAMS, work with suppliers to secure the best quality, service, and cost, and keep all documentation updated on the CMMS system. Staying up to date with training and legislation, you'll join a team dedicated to condition monitoring, completing scheduled PPM tasks, addressing remedial work, and maintaining the entire plant for peak performance.

About You:

  • Ideally if you come from an industry background in Heavy Engineering / Mining / Construction / Steel / Foundry environment this would be advantageous
  • Combination of Electrical / Mechanical Bias
  • H&S qualification equivalent to IOSH Managing safely
  • First principles relating to the operation and maintenance of appropriate plant and equipment
  • Maintenance and operational practices, processes and procedures covering a range of plant and equipment
