An exceptional Global Multi Billion Pound Engineering organisation located in Leicester (Leicestershire, East Midlands) who’re Global Leading experts in the industry sectors for Renewable Energy, Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Industrial and many more have an exciting position to hire for a brand new Senior Electronics Systems Engineer to join the business and be key player in the R&D team. This is an excellent opportunity because the Senior Electronics Systems Engineer will have Future Development Opportunities to be Coachable with potential to progress to become Lead Electronics Engineer within 3 years.

The Senior Electronics Systems Engineer will join a highly innovative multi disciplined engineering team and will experience exciting work that is varied, interesting, challenging and most importantly will have a focus on Research & Development, with the emphasis being on system level design, implementation, and testing, particularly on the company’s high value and customised products that will part of the full product development lifecycle.

Key Skills:
  • HNC/Diploma/Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or higher, or demonstrable ability through experience
  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Experience of the full design lifecycle - from concept though to production & aftersales
  • Proven track record with hands on product design - embedded systems, modules, and full product architecture
  • Electronics Circuit Design (analogue & digital)
  • PCB Design & Schematic Capture
  • Experience of Altium Designer, KiCAD, Cadence or similar ECAD Packages
  • Experience of taking transducer signals from conditioning through embedded processing through to graphical display.
  • Product & safety compliance - EMC, EMI, ESD
  • Experienced in DfX (Design for Reliability, Serviceability & Manufacturability)
  • Show a flexible approach to work and a motivation to learn and develop
  • Good communication skills face to face, on-line, and through documentation
Desirable nice to have skills:
  • Experience of Embedded C, C#, MATLAB
  • Mechanical Design & Development – Solidworks or similar
  • Sound knowledge of motor drives and controls
  • Metrology Experience
  • Skillsets picked in the precision engineering, machine tool or automation industry
  • Previous experience in an instrumentation/motion control engineering role
