WWT Martin Mere North-West England. We are looking for proactive individuals to join our team at Martin Mere Wetland Centre. This is a unique opportunity to work for a local conservation charity and popular visitor attraction. You will not only be working in a unique natural setting but be part of the exceptional visitor experience at this busy visitor attraction.

As a Trading Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in all catering areas:

  • Giving a warm welcome to every visitor to the café, demonstrating exceptional standards of customer service.
  • Taking orders, making hot drinks as well as serving our seasonal menu and clearing tables.
  • Helping in the kitchen, ensuring you maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times.

Above all, you will be contributing to an exceptional visitor experience. This is a casual position, and hours are offered and worked on an ad-hoc basis as and when required.

About You

Candidates will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent and will ideally have demonstrable experience gained within a similar catering operation. You will have some experience of cash handling, and a basic certificate in food hygiene (Level 2) is desirable though not essential as training will be provided.
