North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT) is seeking an exceptional Digital Workstream Lead to spearhead the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme (HHRP) - a Wave 1 scheme within the New Hospital Programme (NHP). This is your chance to design and deliver a world-class, digitally enabled hospital, setting new standards for patient care, operational efficiency, and smart healthcare infrastructure.

Proven track record in large-scale NHS digital transformation, with hands-on experience delivering intelligent hospital ecosystems. Deep expertise in healthcare IT, including EPRs, AI automation, cybersecurity and IoT-enabled smart buildings. Strategic leadership in digital policy, NHS procurement and governance, with knowledge and experience of New Hospital Programme digital standards desirable. Strong Board-level influencing skills, engaging with NHSE, NHS Digital, ICSs and external partners to drive digital excellence.
Day-to-day of the Digital Workstream Lead
- Develop and implement a cutting-edge digital strategy for Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment, integrating AI, IoT, automation and real-time analytics into hospital operations.
- Oversee the procurement, deployment and integration of next-generation digital hospital technologies ensuring seamless EPR connectivity and interoperability.
- Drive cybersecurity, data protection and compliance ensuring digital systems are resilient, secure and future proof.
- Leverage big data and predictive analytics to enhance patient flow, workforce management and clinical decision-making.
- Lead stakeholder engagement at regional and national levels, representing NWAFT in NHS Digital forums and innovation hubs.
- Manage a c. £70m-£80m digital transformation budget as part of the overall capital budget for the scheme of £500m-£1bn, ensuring ROI and long-term digital sustainability.
