We are proud to be working with our valued client on hiring a Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in developing, installing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes for our cable assemblies and electro-mechanical products. This position requires a blend of innovation and operational expertise, with responsibilities including new product introductions (NPI) and sustaining ongoing production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development: Develop, install, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes for cable assemblies and electro-mechanical products.
  • New Product Introductions (NPI): Work on NPI and sustaining ongoing production, requiring innovation and operational expertise.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and eliminate process defects, conduct statistical process analysis to ensure optimal production efficiency.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Implement lean principles to ensure continuous improvement and waste reduction.
  • Financial Acumen: Handle cost estimation, make tooling recommendations, and improve workflow efficiency to optimise production costs.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain process documentation to ensure standardization, traceability, and compliance with industry regulations.

Required Experience:

  • Experience: 5-10 years in an electromechanical manufacturing environment, specifically working on precision mechanics.
  • Education: Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, Six Sigma methodologies, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), ideally with Minitab, Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), preferably SolidWorks, as a bonus.
