FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Production Manager to oversee and develop the West Recycling team in alignment with the financial budget, focusing on achieving high production levels, improving efficiencies, managing costs, and ensuring compliance with legislation. Additionally, you will manage waste streams and serve as the designated technically competent person on-site in accordance with COTC regulations. This is a permanent, full time position based from our Heathrow depot.

The duties of the Production Manager will include:

  • Leading the company's business to achieve financial targets in respect of budget
  • Agreeing the overall business plan for the Recycling West locations
  • Achieving profitable growth and adequate technical resourcing
  • Ensuring that site operations are as efficient as possible whilst ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements and any permits
  • Managing and motivating the operational team to achieve excellence and continual improvement both in terms of quality and efficiency
  • Ensuring HWCN and WTN information is correct, compliant and any reports required by the regulator are submitted within required timescales

What skills and experience do you need?

We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional with a solid background in recycling. The ideal candidate will hold CIWM/WAMITAB qualifications and have demonstrated expertise in budget management, cost control, SHEQ practices, and change management. As a natural leader with strong communication and influencing skills, you should have prior line management experience and the ability to lead and develop teams effectively. Strong interpersonal skills, a team-oriented approach, and a dedication to driving continuous improvement are key requirements for this role.
