We currently have an exciting position as an HGV Workshop Controller in the fantastic team at our DAF Trucks dealership in Sheffield.

Who are we looking for as an HGV Workshop Controller:

  • You will have previous experience working as a Workshop Controller within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector.
  • Experience of servicing, maintaining and repairing vehicles to meet current legislative requirements.
  • Previous experience of completing service and repair documentation and records to meet required DVSA standards.
  • DAF IT System knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
  • Up to date knowledge of basic H&S legislation and practices.

The HGV Workshop Controller role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • As an HGV Workshop Controller, based in our busy Workshop environment, you will be required to schedule and supervise the maintenance, repair and overhaul of a variety of Commercial Vehicles, as well as standard servicing and diagnostics.
  • Organise service and repair documentation and any/all other maintenance documentation in accordance with Company standards and legal requirements.
  • Monitor the maintenance of housekeeping across all sections of the Workshop and that it remains compliant with statutory requirements.
  • People management responsibilities including performance and absence management.
  • Overall responsibility for the Workshop performance and service levels.

The HGV Workshop Controller shift pattern is 4 on 4 off 6am - 6:30pm.
