People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Greenock. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of Pay: Basic: £14.50 - £15.00 per hour PAYE
Day to Day Duties
- Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills
- Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
- Be responsible for the delivery of kitchen and bedroom products to customers' homes
- Load and unload vehicle with the assistance of a Driver's Mate
- Carry out pre & post journey checks
- Ensure timely delivery to customers
- Follow assigned delivery routes while adhering to time schedules
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
- Experience delivering large or bulky goods would be beneficial
- Good customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
- Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
- Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
- After successful Assessment, there will be paid training alongside an experienced crew member
- Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
