To support this growth, we are looking for a Resource Planning Analyst to help us manage one of our most important resources — our people.

As a Resource Planning Analyst, you will play a key role in making sure we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time across all our nurseries. Using data and insight, you will support smarter staffing decisions that balance brilliant care with operational efficiency. Your work will directly shape how we plan ahead, optimise resource use, and support nursery teams across the UK.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse staffing levels across our nurseries to identify gaps, trends and future needs.
- Provide insight and recommendations to support smarter staffing models.
- Forecast future staffing needs based on occupancy and operational trends.
- Ensure nurseries are making the best use of employment types like Bank, Term Time Only, Permanent and Part Time.
- Explore and suggest new rota models that respond to changing needs.
- Work closely with payroll and operational systems to collect accurate data.
- Create reports and dashboards for management teams and stakeholders.
- Analyse ratios, room usage and age group requirements to support resourcing decisions.
- Create 'what-if' scenarios to support decision making.
- Help optimise resource allocation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Success in this role means providing accurate staffing forecasts and insight that help nurseries run smoothly and efficiently. You will develop clear, user-friendly reports and tools that guide decision making. Your work will lead to better use of resources, improved staff planning and stronger collaboration with HR, operational and nursery teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and ideally Power BI.
