For our Channel Sales Team in the UK, we are looking for a National Account Manager who will be focused on growing EATON's market share within the Electrical Wholesaler market, by offering a wide product basket. In this role, you will manage stock within your accounts and identify & book profitable new business through the Channel. You will be working with both the regional and remote sales team, central support teams, business units, functional units, segment marketing and country sales organizations. The role is responsible for executing the regional & global Commercial Buildings & Institutions Channel strategy at account level. In doing so, you will identify which accounts and contractors can influence and unlock commercial opportunities for EATON. Experience and a track record of success working with Electrical Wholesalers as well as channel partners and specialist distribution partners is therefore essential.
You will be assigned specific buying groups to manage as well as relationships at Head Office level for specific Electrical Wholesaler partners, and you will oversee both strategic and commercial requirements for their accounts, working with key stakeholders across the business to grow EATON's market share. To perform effectively, you will maintain sufficient market and competitor intelligence and be highly proficient at communicating EATON's differentiated value at company, product and service levels.
Location: The role is available fully remote for the United Kingdom, with a business travel rate up to 75% of the working time.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Manage and nurture relationships with key electrical wholesalers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Identify and have in-depth understanding & knowledge of an account buying process and be able to articulate this to internal stakeholders.
- Customer knowledge (i.e. Commercial condition, structure, strategy, operations and challenge and articulate in terms of opportunities, growth, risk) with respect to EATON business.
- Advocate and communicator of the benefits in supporting your assigned accounts, within EATON organization.
- Advocate and communicator of the benefits in supporting EATON within the client account organization.
- Identify new business opportunities and work closely with the sales team to convert leads into sales.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for account strategies.
- Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market analysis.
- Support Marketing campaigns and manage Marketing Development Fund (alongside Marketing team) to promote activities that grow the partnership and revenue for EATON and account.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Higher Diploma in Business or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of related experience, ideally in Electrical Wholesale.
- Proven experience in account management within the electrical industry.
- Strong understanding of the UK electrical wholesalers market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Understand when to support, when to lead, when to listen and when to direct.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- High level of organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
