My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding their clients' information systems, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyse security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
- Develop and enforce security strategies to protect sensitive data.
- Respond to security incidents and provide thorough analysis and reports.
- Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure the integration of security best practices.
- Provide security training and awareness programs.
- Respond to customers’ tickets, providing assistance with security-related issues efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk/IT Support, SOC or related role is essential with the ability to handle and prioritise tickets and issues.
- Strong knowledge of the Cyber Essentials, NIST and ISO 27001 framework.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 & Microsoft Azure security features.
- Strong knowledge of Firewalls, Network Security and Endpoint Security.
- Experience with EDR Solutions.
- Knowledge of Mac operating systems.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or other related technical discipline desirable.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for on-site visits.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to influence.

Package:
- £37,500 - £50,000 depending on skills & experience
