We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head of Psychology to lead our dedicated team in delivering exceptional psychological care. In this pivotal role, you will oversee psychological services and contribute to the development of a therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

As the Head of Psychology, you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of psychologists, providing supervision, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive psychological assessments and treatment plans for individuals with complex mental health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Ensure the continuous development and delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of psychological services within the organisation.
  • Support and mentor junior psychology staff, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.
  • Participate in clinical audits, service evaluations, and governance activities to maintain service quality.

What we’re looking for:

  • Significant experience in psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions, with a focus on complex mental health conditions.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team, with strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to evidence-based care and continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Doctorate in Psychology (or equivalent) and full registration with the HCPC.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within psychology or a related field is desirable.
