The Role
The exciting opportunity for a Development Manager has arisen in the Development Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with experience and an excellent track record of project management within an affordable housing or property setting. The successful applicant will work with colleagues, stakeholders and partners to identify and deliver complex development projects, contributing to the growth and development of Southway. They will be responsible for the line management of at least three members of staff, providing support and guidance to help deliver our ambitious development programme.
Candidates
We are looking for an individual who can confidently deliver all aspects of affordable housing project and programme management, including:
- Identifying new business opportunities for the Trust, managing schemes from inception through to completion.
- Line management of at least three members of staff. Acting as a key point of escalation during the construction process.
- Working with a wide range of stakeholders, external agencies and partners to develop and deliver complex development projects, incorporating external funding streams.
- Track, monitor and record progress of the development programme.
- Oversee and monitor scheme progress and preparing scheme audits, ensuring all projects are delivered to Homes England audit requirements, in line with the Capital Funding Guide.
- Competent use of development systems, including Proval, Sequel and Homes England IMS.
We offer a 35-hour week, competitive salary, excellent contributory pension scheme, and 25 days holiday increasing to 30 days.
