Our client is a well-established UK-based manufacturer of water storage systems. They are looking for a Technical Sales Manager with strong connections within the UK water and wastewater utilities sector. Focusing on above-ground water tanks and working with major UK water companies and contractors, they are looking for someone to lead on growth, relationships and winning new contracts.

With a strong engineering and technical team in place, they have the technical side nailed and are now looking for someone who can lead on growth, relationships and winning new projects.

About the role
  • Taking full ownership of the sales process from lead generation through to project completion
  • Key focus on new business development and project-based work with UK water companies and contractors
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts
  • Field-based role with regular UK travel, expect lots of customer visits and on-site meetings
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape technical solutions to ensure delivery to a high standard
  • Play a key role in building out a commercial and technical team within the division as it grows, including advising on future hires
  • Opportunity to grow into a director position in the long-term
About you
  • You come from a technical sales background in the water or wastewater industry
  • You are well connected within the UK water industry
  • You have a strong understanding of the inner workings of water utilities and their supply chains
  • You are comfortable driving new business and managing complex, multi-stage projects
  • You are familiar with key industry players and processes
  • Full UK driving licence is required
  • Ideally you are within a commutable distance to Essex, but this is not essential
