We are looking for a Junior Graphic Design Assistant to assist the Marketing & E-Commerce Manager in the implementation of an agreed marketing strategy, through the upkeep of general site signage, seasonal branding, magazine design and event & promotional advertisement for Whitehall Garden Centres and Whitehall Vineyard.
Tasks:
- Design and produce the monthly Budding News magazine for our garden club members
- Produce POS signage for all three sites for all departments as and when required by managers
- Design and schedule all email marketing using Klaviyo
- Design and send all pre booked adverts with external companies
- Produce and design banners for the sites
- Design all booklets and magazines required by the business
- Design the monthly Nature Trail that is distributed across all three garden centres
- Make sure the sites are smart and tidy and all signage is up to date, relevant and presentable
- Design and produce any sponsorship signage
- Organise the print area and order ink, paper & laminating pouches as and when required with local supplier
- Design and concept all seasonal general site signage (Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter Bunting, bench strips, posters, signs, exit farewell sign, welcome sign, social media banners), send to other sites when required
- Design and concept new general site signage in line with the seasons
- Visit the Woodborough & Whitchurch site monthly to check signage is up to date and within brand guidelines, speak with managers weekly to keep on top of this
- Ensure there are no empty signage boards around all three sites
- Ensure offers, events and promotions are advertised around the stores
Skills:
- A degree in graphic design or portfolio showcasing work
- At least 2 years experience in a Graphic Design Position
- Intermediate level skills on Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator
- High level of English skills and able to eloquently write editorial
- Strong independent worker
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks to tight deadlines
- The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure and juggle several projects at the same time
- Good organisational skills
- Willing to get stuck-in with the team and help out where needed
- Creative individual with lots of ideas and key eye for detail
