We are actively recruiting for a job opportunity with a long-standing accountancy firm in Leighton Buzzard, between a Semi-Senior to Senior Accountant level. The salary is negotiable and will depend on experience and qualification level.
They want someone who can take a job from start to finish, including accounts, tax returns, etc. Their current staff will largely budget a job, prepare it, liaise with clients, and finalise for partner review. The office is commutable from locations such as Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, Dunstable, Aylesbury, and Buckingham.
This will be a hands-on position where you will be responsible for working on a varied client portfolio across statutory accounts, management accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT. You will have increasing responsibility and the opportunity to progress within your career and develop technically in this broad position. Key Roles and Responsibilities:- Preparation of Year-end Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
- Corporation Tax computations and Company Tax returns.
- Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax returns.
- Provide support to Client Managers.
- Support the training and development of Juniors.
- Preparation of P11Ds.
- Deal with portfolio of clients and relevant authorities, resolving any queries.
- Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns.
- Strong experience with QuickBooks/Xero or similar cloud software packages. Any experience of Sage is useful.
