This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our organisation as an Apprentice Construction Administrator. You will assist with all admin duties across the business whilst supporting various tasks and teams. This role typically reports to the Construction Secretary/Construction Director. An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage and gain valuable work experience. You will be expected to work towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard, with support from your employer. There will also be internal training on our different in-house systems including Compliance Training, COINS and IT systems. Monday- Friday 9.00am -5.00pm. 1 hour lunch break - 35 hrs. Apprenticeship will last 18-24 months.

The role will include but is not limited to:

  • Assist and support Construction Department and site teams, both management and weekly paid employees
  • Undertaking administrative procedures, filing, scanning and writing emails
  • Amending and distribution of construction Gantt charts
  • Amending build programme as directed
  • Liaise with other Departments within the Regional office i.e. Sales, Accounts, Technical, Customer Care, Buying departments
  • Assist with monitoring the NHBC data and distributing same within the Construction department
  • Assist with monitoring the Health and Safety and Independent Quality Inspections and outstanding action points
  • Assist in monitoring the Home Builder Federation customer satisfaction surveys to ensure we maintain our 5* status
  • Preparing certification for and liaise with Housing Associations/Investors to ensure they receive all documentation
  • Assist in monitoring performance from Subcontractors and Labour Only Sub-contractors, and send any correspondence re poor performance
  • Assist the Group Health, Safety and Environment Advisor in monitoring site performance
  • Recording of all Tool Box Talks
  • Assisting with keeping the training matrix up to date
  • Assisting with organising the setting out Engineer Order uniform and PPE
  • Order stationary for site
  • Monitor holiday requests made via Access
  • Take notes for any site meetings, disciplinary hearings as required
  • Attend Construction meetings whether on site or in the Regional office
  • To cover Reception duties as and when required
